About the Treatment
What is Dermalogica Microneedling Pro Restore?
Dermalogica Pro Restore Microneedling is an advanced skin treatment designed to stimulate the skin’s natural renewal process. Using precision microneedling technology, it creates controlled micro-channels in the skin to encourage collagen and elastin production, helping improve skin texture, firmness, and overall skin health.
Why do we offer Microneedling Pro Restore?
We believe healthy, resilient skin is built through supporting the skin’s natural processes. Microneedling Pro Restore is one of our most sought-after advanced skin treatments because it can be customised to target concerns such as fine lines, uneven texture, enlarged pores, scarring, and loss of firmness.
What needle technology do you use?
At Beauty Worx, we use professional microneedling technology with different needle configurations, including 24-pin and 9-pin cartridges, allowing your therapist to customise the treatment approach depending on your skin concerns and the area being treated.
Does Microneedling include LED Light Therapy?
Yes. At Beauty Worx, we include LED Light Therapy as part of our Microneedling Pro Restore experience. LED supports the skin’s recovery process and enhances your treatment journey by providing a calming and restorative finish.
Why choose Beauty Worx for Microneedling?
Microneedling is an advanced treatment that requires knowledge, precision, and understanding of skin health. Our team has undertaken extensive professional training to ensure your treatment is performed safely, hygienically, and with a personalised approach based on your individual skin needs.
Is Microneedling painful?
Most clients describe the treatment as very manageable. Your comfort is important to us, and we use professional techniques and preparation to ensure the best possible experience.
Do you use numbing cream?
No — and there is a professional reason for this. Topical numbing creams work by temporarily constricting the blood vessels in the skin. This is a problem for microneedling because the treatment relies on the skin’s natural vascular response — the micro-channels we create trigger blood flow, which is what initiates the collagen-producing healing cascade. If the blood vessels are constricted by numbing cream, the treatment is significantly less effective. In short: numbing cream reduces your discomfort but also reduces your results. We do not believe that is a worthwhile trade-off. Most clients find the treatment very tolerable without numbing.
How many treatments will I need?
Every skin journey is different. Some clients notice improvements after one treatment, while a personalised course may be recommended for concerns such as scarring, ageing, or texture. Your therapist will discuss a treatment plan tailored to your skin at your consultation.
Why is Microneedling one of our most popular treatments?
Clients love Microneedling Pro Restore because it is a results-focused treatment that helps improve the quality of the skin — not just provide a temporary glow. It is a favourite choice for clients wanting smoother, firmer, healthier-looking skin.
What Are All the Names for This Treatment?
Why does microneedling have so many names?
Microneedling goes by many names depending on the brand, device, or technique being used. You may have seen it referred to as Microneedling, Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT), Dermal Needling, Skin Needling, Micro-channelling, Dermapen, SkinPen, or RF Microneedling. At Beauty Worx, we perform Dermalogica Microneedling Pro Restore — a specific, professionally developed treatment protocol using Dermalogica’s clinical-grade products. If you have seen this treatment advertised under a different name and are unsure whether it is the same thing, contact us and we will clarify.
Related Treatments
What is Nano Infusion and how is it different from Microneedling?
Nano Infusion is a needle-free skin treatment that uses microscopic nano-cones to temporarily open the very surface of the skin, allowing active serums to penetrate more deeply. It does not create the depth needed to trigger a collagen-producing healing response. Nano infusion delivers an immediate glow with no downtime and suits very sensitive skin or clients maintaining results between microneedling sessions.
What is Luminfusion?
Luminfusion is a branded nano infusion treatment combining nano-tip delivery technology with brightening and hydrating serums — typically hyaluronic acid, vitamins, and brightening actives — for an immediate radiance boost with no downtime. An excellent option before an event or for clients who want visible results without recovery time.
Preparation and Aftercare
How should I prepare for my Microneedling appointment?
In the 24–48 hours before your treatment, avoid retinol, AHAs, BHAs, and active exfoliants, sun exposure and tanning, and waxing or any other skin treatments in the area. Arrive with clean skin, free of makeup, and stay well hydrated.
What is the aftercare for Microneedling?
For the first 24–48 hours after treatment: avoid sun exposure and wear SPF 50+; do not apply makeup, active skincare, or fragranced products; avoid heat including saunas, steam rooms, and intense exercise; and keep skin hydrated with a gentle, soothing moisturiser. Your therapist will provide a full aftercare guide at your appointment.
Is there any downtime?
Most clients experience some redness and mild sensitivity for 24–48 hours — similar to a mild sunburn. Slight peeling or dryness may occur in the days following as the skin renews. Most clients return to normal activities the following day.
