IPL (E-Intense Pulse Light)

What is IPL? 

Intense Pulse Light is a fast and safe treatment which offers you clinically proven long-term hair reduction.  The small wavelength light penetrates deep into the skin and is absorbed by the pigment in the hair.  This converts the light to heat which disables the hair follicle.  The sensation of treatment is like a faint sting followed by a warm sensation, similar to that of a rubber band flicking the skin.  The treatment is virtually painless with no skin irritation or photosensitivity.  IPL quickly, efficiently and permanently reduce dark hair from all parts of the body, no matter how large or small the area.  Our machine is specifically designed to have a variety of settings depending on what we are targeting, providing safe and specific ways of reaching only the structures that are considered problematic.

What will IPL do for me? 

IPL treatments bring an end to tiresome hair removal methods.  Results are excellent for the removal of dark hair and this includes sensitive areas: such as the lips, underarm, and bikini line, as well as large areas like the back, chest or legs.  IPL performed successfully will leave you with minimal discomfort, side effects or interruptions of everyday activities.

How many treatments are recommended?

Because of the nature of the hair growth cycle, several sessions are recommended accordingly so that each cycle will be treated with optimum results.

Approximately 6 to 8 treatments, however this is dependent on the stage of hairgrowth, strength of hair and area to be treated.

Photo / Skin Rejuvenation:  The procedure involves the use of an intense beam of broad-spectrum light that targets the demis, the lower layer of the skin.  The procedure simultaneously removes damaged and photoaged skin while stimulating collagen and elastin growth.  The increased regeneration of collagen and elastin helps to reveal a younger appearance with improved color, a more clearer even complexion, without any facial alterations.   Your skin feels soft, plump, fresh and silky after each treatment with immediate visible results.

Vascular treatment:   Produces an intense but gentle burst of light that selectively destroys the blood vessels of spider veins, and some other skin lesions, without damaging the surounding tissue.  After treatment, the skin overlying the treated area remains intact and healing occurs.  The blood vessels clot due to the effect of the laser light energy and with the new collagen formation in the deep layer of the skin, the blood vessels stenghten and thicken to improve the appearance of the vein / capillaries.

IPL Skin and vascular rejuvenation treatments are safe, fast, effective, affordable and virtually painless.  You may experience subtle redness immediately after treatment, but this disappears within hours and no recovery time is needed.

We recommend between 6 to 8 treatments to achieve a sustained result, two to six weeks apart. The number of treatments can vary as each individual’s skin is different.
