Appearance Medicine

Battling the signs of aging in a non-invasive way after all, is the principle aim of botox therapy. The fact that there are no unsightly scars and very little recovery time with the procedure, make it the commonest cosmetic procedure carried out every year in the western world.

BOTOX is a natural, purified protien that relaxes wrinkle-causing muscles creating a smoothed, rejuvenated and more youthful appearance.

BOTOX is administered in a few tiny injections of purified protien that relaxes the muscle by blocking nerve impulses that trigger wrinkle-causing muscle contractions.

BOTOX is simple and quick minimally invasive non-surgical treatment that delivers dramatic results. BOTOX is the only product of its kind with a proven 10 year safety record and effective use in hundreds of thousand of patients worldwide.

Use of Botox in the upper face:

Botox is commonly used for glabellar lines, or "frownlines". Glabellar lines are caused by repeated frowning as during driving or facing direct sunlight. The muscles causing you to frown are paralysed by BOTOX injections which makes you unable to frown, thereby abolishing the frownlines. The effect lasts for about three to four months and about three to four treatments are required each year. Administering BOTOX injection in the glabeller and the four head region leads to decrease in intensity and frequency of tension headaches and migranes. Intense research is being carried out in the area to evaluate the role of BOTOX in the medical management for these headaches.

Botox is a prescription Medicine containing 100 units of botulinum toxin Type A for injection.  It is used for the treatment of frown lines, forehead lines and crow's feet.  It should be administered only by a trained medical professional.  We are very proud to have Dr. Viji from Seasons Clinic (Auckland) joining Beautyworx to provide this service.
